University of Birmingham, Student Accommodation

The Project Management Consultants, The Devonshire Partnership asked Assent Milton Keynes, to become part of the design team for this exceptional project. With Architects, Orbit and the Design Build Contractor Construction Partnership UK Limited. The team were asked to produce, in record time, a new student accommodation facility on the Bristol Road in Birmingham.

Works commenced in January 2016 with steel and concrete construction to first floor and a further 3 floors of timber framed units forming the bedrooms. Due to the prefabricated and cellular nature of the upper floor build the client was able to open 1/3rd of the accommodation to new students on September the 15th 2016. A remarkable achievement with the whole building being complete and ready for full occupation in December of the same year.

Thanks to the client’s eye for design, this accommodation has been finished to an exceptional standard making any student feel like they are staying in 5 star luxury apartment hotel.
