The Diamond Building, University of Sheffield

The Diamond is an £81m teaching and learning facility and was opened for students in September 2015. It is the universities largest ever investment in learning and teaching. Our work included assessment of a complex fire engineering strategy to incorporate the central atrium and high student numbers to the lecture theatres situated in the basement. The impressive six storey building with a dramatic diamond shaped façade in anodised aluminium was designed by Twelve Architects, London.
