Role Overview:

As a Building Control Surveyor at Assent Building Control, you will play a crucial role in assessing and ensuring that building projects comply with relevant regulations and standards. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and design teams to provide expert advice, inspections, and guidance throughout the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.
Review and approve building plans and technical documentation.
Provide expert advice to clients, contractors, and design teams regarding building control matters.
Prepare and issue certificates of compliance, notices, and reports.
Manage and oversee the progress of building projects, addressing any issues or non-compliance.
Collaborate with other professionals to resolve technical and regulatory challenges.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to building control activities.

Requirements:

Qualifications: Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CABE) is desirable.
Experience: Proven experience in building control, surveying, or a similar role within the construction industry.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of building regulations, codes of practice, and construction methods.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear advice and build effective working relationships.
Technical: Proficiency in relevant software and tools for building control and project management.
Other: Full driving license and willingness to travel to various sites as required.
