Introducing our new Head of Quality Assurance

As part of our latest promotions within our network, we are delighted to announce Michaela Long has been promoted to Head of Quality Assurance.

We asked Michaela about her journey so far with Assent and the promotion:

“I joined Assent in 2019, I was initially employed as the first Receptionist for the company – looking for an easy, stress-free role! Having never been exposed to building control I thoroughly enjoyed learning the role and quickly progressed into assisting in other departments, namely the Quality Assurance department. After 6 months of employment, I was promoted to Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator for the group. A role in which I felt was the perfect fit for me and I quickly found my niche. Over time the team grew, and I was joined by another two Quality Assurance Co-Ordinators which then saw me being promoted to Senior Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator after two years. Fast forward another two years and I am now Head of Quality for the group.

I am delighted to be where I am today, from no experience of building control or quality assurance to now being Head of QA within 5 years is a huge accomplishment for me and I would not be where I am today without the support, guidance and encouragement from my line manager and the wider team.”

Risk & Operations Director, Kate Morement, said “we are pleased to share the latest promotion within our QA team, Michaela has worked her way up throughout her time with Assent and we are excited to see her flourish in this new role.”
