Assent Building Control in Liverpool worked with ISG to deliver a new hotel, retail and student accommodation complex stretching along Lime Street Liverpool for Neptune Developments.
The landmark Lime Street development provides 30,000 sq ft of commercial space, a 101-bedroom hotel, and an 11-storey 412-bedroom student residential building for Regeneration Liverpool. This was a joint venture between Sigma Partnership, the local council, and developer Neptune, designed by Broadway Malyan.
The complex refurbishment of the busy street includes street-level ground floor retail units including restaurants which, because of the uphill slope, are underground by the time they reach Bolton Street behind. Above those shops, facing on to Lime Street, is a hotel, while the student accommodation is behind the hotel running parallel to Bolton Street and the hotel before breaking right to emerge above the Lime Street shops. The hotel and student accommodation are split by an L-shaped pedestrian avenue.
