We have another exciting announcement for Assent as we look to strengthen our team and support our customers! Andy Wilkes has joined as Head of Building Control – Midlands!
Andy started his career in construction after leaving school in the early 1990s, working for various architectural practices. He made the move into Building Control as a trainee in the late 1990s for Local Authority Building Control where he gained a degree in Building Surveying. I migrated over to private Building Control in 2004, primarily to gain more experience in the commercial sector, where I specialised in residential care, student accommodation and defence projects.
Andy said “I have been aware of Assent for most of my building control career. Their reputation for forward thinking and development through training has always been of interest to me. The Assent Group core values align perfectly with my own and I am very much looking forward to joining the Assent family in this exciting transition period for the industry. I initially want to build on the success of the fantastic team of surveyors we already have working for the Assent Group and hopefully offer my breadth of experience to further develop the midlands team, as well as the wider group. I am passionate about providing a quality, customer focused, service to our clients.”
