We’re changing: Say hello to Assent Building Compliance

As of 1^st October, the transition period for Approved Inspectors ended and the BSR now oversees building control bodies and RBI’s.  As Assent didn’t register to be an RBCA we have taken the decision to update our name accordingly.   Assent Building Control will now be known as Assent Building Compliance, part of the Assent Building Compliance and Safety Group.  We will continue to use the Assent Brand encompassing all our services. This change in the name, not a re-brand, reflects the dynamic nature of the market that we serve and encompasses our multi-licensed approach and the wide range of services that we offer.

Our group includes:

• Building control approval under all our RBCA Licenses – LB Building Control, Oculus Building Consultancy, and Clarke Banks
• Specialist Building Regulatory advisory services and Structural Warranty under the Assent Brand
• Fire safety training, qualifications and apprenticeships – Xact Consultancy and Training
• Specialist Building Regulation advisory services and Fire safety engineering solutions – Clarke Banks

Our change in name to Assent Building Compliance demonstrates our focus on compliance and safety and the dynamic nature of the built environment following the Building Safety Act 2022. The change in our name highlights the focus the business has on compliance and safety and firmly positions us in the market, dedicated to adding value to our client relationships.

The same, excellent services – with expansion into new, dynamic areas of compliance

Our heritage has of course been in building control, and this will continue under the Assent brand using the licences of LB and Oculus, giving clients resilience and continuity.  Clarke Banks will continue to provide building control and fire safety advisory services under the Clarke Banks Brand.

All three businesses are Registered Building Control Approvers (RBCAs) under the Building Safety Regulator (BSR). Assent and Clarke Banks can also offer specialist Building Regulation advisory services, a service aimed at supporting the Principal Designer under the Building Safety Act’s ‘Gateway’ process.

Assent Building Compliance’s strength in depth

As part of our continued growth and expansion, we can offer specialist fire engineering safety solutions through Clarke Banks and fire safety training, qualifications and apprenticeships through, Xact Consultancy and Training.

We are also reviewing our structural warranty product as we continue to develop our offering and how we continue to deliver this to the market.
